DIY Skirt & Blouse Gift From My Sister.

Hello Everyone,

It’s been a while, how are you all doing hope you’re all getting ready for fall cos I really am. The weather in Minneapolis is changing already. Though it’s not too bad I’m already going through my closet and removing some of my summer clothes. 🙁

I just came back from vacation a few weeks ago and I feel so relaxed and refreshed. I was in Africa (Nigeria) for almost 3 weeks. Those 3 weeks were so hectic for me because I was moving from one place to another visiting old friends and neighbors. I was in both Abuja and Lagos. Met so many old classmates that I haven’t seen in over 24 yrs and it was so awesome seeing their old faces again.

While in Nigeria, I learned how to sew freehand sewing both male and female clothes which I will be doing tutorials on later once I get all settled with the kids back to school.

I got invited to a wedding 2 weeks ago and I decided to wear a DIY Skirt & Blouse made for me by my sister as a gift. I love the fabric pattern and color a lot. FYI – It’s an Ankara fabric. I love the fit and the simplicity too.  So what do you think of it?

PS – If you’re living within Ikeja, Lagos and need a tailor, you can contact her at 080-34545497 let her know you got her number from me.
