DIY Simple A Line Dress

Hey Lovelies,  how are you all doing? Hope not too bad. Living in the midwest in the US at this time of the year is always very chili. Once in a while when the weather gets a little better we all try to make full use of it.

Misi Afrique

So last Friday, I went out with some beautiful friends to celebrate a friends birthday. Misi’s (Misi Afrique) birthday was earlier this year but the weather was so cold that we couldn’t celebrate with her on her day. We wanted to take her out before the end of the month so last Friday was the day.

I made this beautiful dress 2 weeks ago using a modified M6886 that I modified for my D cup bodice. I used a fabric I got from SR Harris  Fabric Outlet. It was a 1.5yards fabric that was the last piece on the roll so I got it on sale.

When I picked this fabric for the dress, I wasn’t sure if to make it shorter than it is right now or to just leave it at knee length. I was looking for a day and also night look, something you could easily switch in between.

I also tried out the shoulder peek on the sleeves. It’s my first time freehanding it so I made the peek so small.

Here are some photos of friends.
