DIY Knit Lace Red Dress – NewLook 6230 – It’s My Birthday !!

It’s my Birthday !!!  🙂 🙂  November 12th. I’m so happy for making it through my last decade +1. It was a lot of crazy rumpled road. So many disappointment, so many sadness, so many unfortunate circumstances and at the same time there were a lot of successful instances.

Life could be so challenging in many ways. Many times we keep giving up and often wonder why giving up when there’s that bright star ahead of us shining and encouraging us to keep moving on.

Today I look back and thank God for how far I’ve come and how long his grace has been by me. Through those years a second after another, HE always reminds me that I am special through his words.

I have so much to say but I’ll rather keep it within me because I might be here writing for the next one week with much to write about.

My goal is NOT perfection, My goal is to be WHOLE. Working on ME has gotten me MUCH further than Obsessing, Criticizing and Judging other folks. You never loose when you work on yourself and that’s what I’ll continue to do. Happy New Year to me.

The DIY Beautiful Simple Red Dress

I can’t remember precisely what store I got this stretch lace fabric from but I remember it was on sale for $3/yrd and it was the last yrd left.

Pattern Modification

I used NL 6230 for the pattern guide. I added some length to it to give it the perfect length I wanted.

I also lined the bodice with a black lightweight knit. I lined the sleeve cuffs and the neckband to give it the same color as the bodice.

The back bodice is two pieces but I made mine one on the fold and that’s it.

That’s my $3 fabric $100 look lace dress. 🙂

What do you think? ??
