DIY Cowl Neck Coat Sweater

I’m in love with this pattern. I definitely will be sewing it again in another color. 🙂 and maybe another fabric too.

When I got the email notification from a sewing blog I follow and saw this M7262 pattern on her, I knew right away that I was going to sew the sweater.

I always look forward to MimiG’s pattern tutorials on youtube she has a very easy way of making sewing look so easy and I love her for that. You can watch MimiG’s sew-along for this pattern M7262 Here

Eryn from StyleSewMe also wore something close to it but she used pattern B6244 which I also like.

I used a heavy knit fabric for mine. I got it at Hancock Fabrics and I think it was on sale for $3.5/yard.

That wooden button:), I definitely need to fix it, it’s just pointing everywhere.

Pattern Review / Modification

I really didn’t do anything different with this pattern. It is a very perfect pattern for me.

Modification:

–I added a short sleeve instead of long. I cut out view B. I measured the length I wanted on the sleeve and cut it out.

–I added 1.5 inches to the length of the sweater.

–I adjusted the biceps of the sleeve and the armhole to fit my measurement.

I really do recommend this pattern to beginners it’s very simple and easy to put together.
